What happens next
There is no rush. You can take each step when you feel ready, and you can stop at any point.
1. You write down what happened
You choose which parts to describe and answer one question at a time. Your answers are saved as you go, and you can come back to them later.
2. We look for others who described the same person
When you submit a report, we quietly compare the description of the person with reports from other survivors. Nobody is contacted at this stage.
3. A trained moderator checks any possible match
A computer can only suggest a possible match. A trained moderator reads the reports side by side and decides whether they really describe the same person.
4. We let you know
If the moderator confirms a match, you will see a case number when you log in, and we will email you if you gave us an address. We never show you anything about the other survivors, and we never show them anything about you.
5. You decide whether to go to the police
We-Together does not pass your report to the police. Whether to go to the police is always your choice. If you decide to, you can give them your case number so they know other survivors have come forward.
